Qualifications:  Display positive attitude and teamwork skills.  Must complete a pre-employment physical and drug test.  Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs and ladders, up to 8 hours per day.  Ability to frequently bend, lift, twist and lift heavy objects.  Must display strong problem solving skills. Must pass Company math test. Must complete power jack/forklift training course, Lock Out/Tag Out and Hazard Communication training courses. Must meet Utilities or equivalent in knowledge and experience. Must be able and available to work overtime as required. 

Job Summary: Fill in when Utilities Supervisor is absent. When not filling this role, then will perform as regular Utilities technician. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as production demands may require:

Assign work in the absence of the supervisor.

Monitor work activities and advise or instruct as necessary.

Respond to calls for utilities support and send necessary personnel to address situation.

Attend scheduling meetings to understand current shift needs.

Coordinate Utilities work within the shift.

Monitor radio calls for Utilities help and get involved as necessary.

As required assist utilities personnel with ongoing repairs.

When not required to perform lead duties, will perform regular utilities work as required.

Ensure all installations and repairs are performed in accordance with HACCP, USDA and Food Safety (SQF) guidelines.

Assist in HAZMAT training/meetings as needed.

Attend scheduled PSM meetings.

Work overtime as required or assigned. 

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. 

Experience: 1 year work related experience. 

Other Requirements: No other requirements. 

Working Conditions: High noise, varied temperatures (warm to cold), slippery floors, moving equipment and dust may be present. Working at heights, working in awkward positions, potential for slips, trips and falls are present.  Employees will wear personal protective equipment as necessary or required.
