JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary: The Corporate Benefits Administrator, in collaboration with the benefits and wellness team is responsible for administering benefits and wellness programs for employees and their family members across the United States. The position provides outstanding service to our employees, family members and vendors while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
Essential Functions:
- Benefit Administration:
- Administer company benefit plans and programs including but not limited to, health, dental, vision, flex spending, 401(k) retirement plan, life and disability insurance, onsite services and additional benefit and wellness offerings.
- Coordinate daily benefit processing and assist team members with benefit related questions; maintain team member and dependent eligibility, new hire benefit and 401k enrollments, life event changes, terminations, COBRA, disability, accident and death claims.
- Responsible for reviewing multiple benefit plan enrollments, completion of required documents related to the health plans (Medical Support Notices).
- Assist in preparation and administration of benefit and wellness budgets, ordering supplies, creating purchasing orders, processing and approving invoices for timely payments.
- Benefit System Administration & Reporting:
- Partners with the Corporate Supervisor of Benefits and team to ensure systems are set-up accurately for enrollment, reporting and payroll deductions.
- Ensures the accurate maintenance of team member records in the Benefit enrollment system to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assists with gathering data required for legal filings (such as 5500 reports) and the delivery of legally required communications (SPDs, etc.).
- Benefits Communication:
- Assists with the communication and marketing of benefit plans, health and wellness strategies, activities and offerings.
- Mass and individual mailings regarding plan changes, compliance requirements, claims, termination, etc.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, related field OR equivalent 2 years work experience.
- Ability to communicate, collaborate and manage internal relationships with all levels of the organization.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and function as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior SAP, Employee Central and BenefitFocus system user experience
- Knowledge of, and/or experience with, employee benefits and applicable laws
- CEBS or CBP professional designations
- Skilled in MS Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Experience working in the food or manufacturing industries
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Supervisory Responsibility: No supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment: The work environment is an office environment with standard temperatures and normal office noise levels.
Physical Demands: This position would be primarily sitting with little to no lifting or other physical demands.
Position Type: Hybrid, Exempt, Full-time position.
Travel: Minimal travel required
