JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary: Under the direction of the Director of HR, the Corporate HR Specialist performs the necessary functions to support the entire Corporate HR Team. The incumbent will work in areas such as compliance, benefits, safety, talent management, and assist with coverage in Westfield HR as needed. The position requires frequent contact with personnel inside and outside the company, requiring reasonable tact, discretion, interpersonal skills, and working knowledge of HR policies and procedures.
Essential Functions:
- Supports and assists all HR functions, including Corporate HR, Westfield Plant HR, Benefits, Safety, and Talent Management.
- Assists all employees with their questions and concerns.
- Oversees the company HR Dashboard and completes the company wide hourly staffing reporting.
- Coordinates the company wide salaried orientation and onboarding schedules.
- Administers invoices and collaborates with Accounts Payable.
- Coordinates and plans company recognition and events including administration of employee gifts and clothing.
- Manages company communications including the Westfield employee newsletter & SharePoint site.
- Performs clerical duties as needed (typing, sorting mail, filing, etc.)
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree OR an Associate Degree and 2+ years of Human Resources experience OR 3+ years of experience in administration role(s).
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral and written communication and a willingness to assist others
- Attention to detail: excellent organizational skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven computer literacy in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors’ Degree in Human Resources
- Administrative experience in an office environment
- Experience working in food processing/manufacturing
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Supervisory Responsibility: No supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment: The work environment is an office environment with standard temperatures and normal office noise levels.
Physical Demands: This position would be primarily sitting with little to no lifting or other physical demands. Subject to extended periods of sitting, working on PC and talking on telephone.
Position Type: First shift, full-time, non-exempt.
Travel: Travel is not required.
