Position:     Maintenance Technicians 
Location:    Hartwell, GA (just a quick drive from Elberton, GA)
Shifts:         2nd shift or 3rd shift 
Wage:         $23.91 - $34.26 hourly; Based on qualifications and skills

2nd Shift:     2:30 PM to 10:30 PM  or  3rd Shift: 10:30 PM to 7:30 AM 

Position Summary: Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and maintain plant equipment.

Qualifications:  

• 1-year minimum related work experience.
• Display positive attitude and teamwork skills.  
• Must be able to stand and walk up to 8-hours per day. 
• Ability to frequently bend, lift and twist. 
• Must be able and available to work overtime and weekends as required. 
• Must complete a pre-employment background check, drug test and physical.  
• High school diploma or equivalent.  

 
Position Duties: 

• Safely perform routine preventative maintenance on facility equipment using basic hand tools.
• Effectively troubleshoot equipment and minimize production downtime events.
• Assist with various work orders throughout facility. 
• Input tasks completed in SAP and other required computer programs.
• Communicate with managers and employees within maintenance and in other departments throughout workday and respond appropriately to maintenance requests.
• Knowledge/experience in the following areas:
  • Basic Electrical Wiring & Troubleshooting, ability to read schematics. 
  • Pipe Fitting/Plumbing 
  • Welding – or the ability to learn.  
  • Hydraulics- basic circuits 
  • Pneumatics- air flow and components 
  • Automatic Equipment Operation (setup, repair, and tear down) 
  • PLCs and how they operate. 
  • Expected to possess good judgment.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Work Environment: Wide variations in environment temperature (-10 freezer, 32-degree coolers, 40-degree plant, wet cold environment) dust, noise, slippery floors and moving equipment, wearing appropriate PPE is required. 
Physical Demands: Position will include extensive standing, sitting, lifting, wearing factory required equipment while working in production, walking, climbing stairs, visual inspections, quick responses to equipment/team needs.
