Qualifications: Display positive attitude and teamwork skills.  Must complete a pre-employment physical and drug test.  Must be able to stand and walk up to 12 hours per day. Ability to frequently bend, twist and lift 50lbs to 70lbs. Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as required.

 

Job Summary: Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following: Correct & safe operation of equipment & machinery, troubleshooting, engine maintenance, conveyors & systems.

Essential Functions:

  • Must obey all LOTO, Safety, USDA, HACCP, and the Company rules and regulations
  • Bend conduit and pull and fabricate wire
  • Must know elements of NEC
  • Capable of fabricating start/stop stations and other related jobs
  • Able to install, maintain and repair power distribution equipment
  • Capable of dealing with 480-volt, 3 phase. Install and maintain lighting systems.
  • Read schematics & diagrams satisfactorily
  • Troubleshoot mechanical as well as electrical problems
  • Be willing to work as directed on production equipment
  • Expected to possess good judgment and exercise initiative
  • Completes PMs, written and typed work orders and ensures paperwork is completed properly
  • Diagnoses and employes the proper procedure of troubleshooting to determine when equipment needs part replacement, and when repairs are necessary
  • Use of hand and power tools to install, operate, maintain, check, and troubleshoots all types of mechanical equipment as directed
  • Respond to calls on the radio in a timely manner
  • Comply with LOTO policy, Safety procedures and follow GMPs for food processing.
  • Must always wear proper PPE
  • Keep the area clean and organized
  • Communicating with management when there are concerns with the following:                             Production                                Safety                   Employee Relations
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Journeyman Electrician license preferred
  • 1 year plus work-related experience
  • Available to work different shifts
  • Able to bend conduit and pull and fabricate wire
  • Able to read schematics & diagrams satisfactorily
  • Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot mechanical as well as electrical problems
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills on automated equipment and process
  • Basic PLC programing
  • Experienced electrical controls, wiring, instrumentation & Troubleshooting (voltages of 5V,24V-480VAC-VDC) and PLCs
  • Well versed in electrical safety and LOTO
  • Must be able to multitask, be a self-starter and have a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to work under pressure in fast paced environment and produce quality work with minimal supervision
  • Able to communicate effectively with Management and team members
  • Must have excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail and time management
  • Good communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Provide your own tools
  • Food/Beverage processing environment preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish / English) preferred

 

Working Conditions: High noise, varied temperatures (warm to cold), slippery floors, moving equipment and dust may be present. Employees will wear personal protective equipment as necessary or required.
