Qualifications: Display positive attitude and teamwork skills. Must complete a pre-employment physical and drug test. Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day. Ability to frequently bend, lift and twist. Must be able and available to work overtime as required.
Job Summary: Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following: Provides direction, instruct, assistance and guidance to the team members in one department.
Essential Functions:

Assist the supervisor in ensuring the production line runs efficiently

Assists in planning for the production line run with the Production Supervisor

Ability to direct activities of other hour employees (when supervisor not present)

Assists Supervisor in maintaining quality and throughput expectations

Assists in ensuring the raw material is staged for the daily production line

Monitors and Tracks production throughput, yields and quality; Corrects inefficiencies

Responsible for production line setup after the production floor has been released by USDA

*****Lead is not to attempt to discipline any employee, all discipline is to be handled by management. If an issue arises, the Lead is to notify management immediately.

Communicating with management when there are concerns with the following
Production Safety Employee relations

Performs other related duties as assigned to support production demands as may be specified by customer or client
Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Experience in similar role within a food production environment a plus.
Other Requirements: Bilingual (Spanish) a plus but not required.
Working Conditions: High noise, varied temperatures (warm to cold), slippery floors, moving equipment and dust may be present. Employees will wear personal protective equipment as necessary or required.
