Qualifications: Display positive attitude and team work skills. Must complete a pre-employment physical and drug test. Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day. Ability to frequently bend, lift and twist. Must be able and available to work overtime as required.
Job Summary: Essential duties & responsibilities include the following: Provides direction, instruction, assistance & guidance to the team members in the department.
Essential Functions:

Knowledge of Plant Computers.

Identify when there is an issue, troubleshoot and report findings to the QA Supervisor and address the issues from re-occurring.

Must show a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and work as a team player and show leadership abilities to serve as back-up department supervisor as assigned

Ability to follow all company policies and procedures and identify when there is a need for change due to deviations from our policies and procedures and follow through with the changes needed

Show comprehension and knowledge retention of all Brakebush Irving Inc. training programs and support QA supervisors on developing and/or improving current training programs and following through with completion of those trainings

Can be responsible for having, maintain and cleaning assigned tools
-
Must be able to complete all required paper-work and database entries accurately and in a timely manner, and recommend changes to improve upon paper-work and data collection and follow through with the necessary changes needed

Can communicate to direct report when there are deviations from the process or specification and recommend and implement further necessary action and/or corrective action and follow up to ensure those changes are addressing the root-cause

Show full understanding of mathematics (addition, subtraction, percentages, multiplication, division, algebra, standard deviation, formulas (written and excel), intermediate SPC)

Can train QA Tech I, II & III team members

Can take verbal instructions and complete a task correctly as assigned

Show responsible work history of attendance, timeliness and completing job duties efficiently

Show a full level of knowledge and understanding of root cause analysis and be able to recommend corrective actions and preventative measures based upon the findings from the RCA

Show ability to communicate with the department supervisors, department managers, regulatory officials, and company directors

Full understanding of equipment calibration (thermometer, scales, calipers, CO2/O2 monitor, X-Ray machine)
-
Can pull samples (in a sterile process) for lab testing and complete swabbing during pre-operational inspection accurately and in a timely manner
-
Can test and accurately measure and record the ppms of the sanitizer solution and/or the ESL (microbial solution)
-
Show full knowledge and understanding of our HACCP process and required documentation, our CCP, SSOPs and Can communicate our HACCP Program to other team members

Can complete pre-operations inspections accurately and in a timely manner
-
Can re-assign QA Techs (I, II, & III) when needed, possibly due to call in or downtime within the department
-
Can complete SPC graph reporting for Brakebush on weekly basis and when needed
-
Can complete label approvals, designing of labels and accurately printing of labels
-
Ability to demonstrate understanding of our scorecard program, how to calculate the results of the scorecards and turn those into process control

Can preview lab results and identify when product is acceptable or not acceptable to release from QA Hold

Update QA Hold and QA Micro Logs

Can complete COAs as requested by the customer

Ability to complete the condemn log and return log processes

Can place product on Hold and complete the Hold Tag process in an accurate and timely manner. Also, be able to release product from Hold in an accurate and timely manner. Address corrective actions to be taken on Hold product to the QA Supervisor and ensure product is reworked and addressed

Communicating with management when there are concerns with the following: Production Safety Employee Relations
Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: One year related experience.
Other Requirements: No other requirements.
Working Conditions: High noise, varied temperatures (warm to cold), slippery floors, moving equipment and dust may be present. Employees will wear personal protective equipment as necessary or required.
