Position:  Shipping & Receiving Clerk 

Compensation:  Hourly Non-exempt 

Reports to: Shipping Manager

Qualifications:  Display positive attitude and team work skills.  Must complete a pre-employment physical and drug test.  Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day.  Ability to frequently bend, lift and twist.  Must be able and available to work overtime as required. 

 

Job Summary: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: Assigning, addressing, stamping & shipping products & samples. Also accepts packaged & palleted goods, unpack, verify & record incoming merchandise & arranges timely transportation of product. 

Essential Functions:  

  • Timely and accurate SAP paperwork and data entry for all Ship/Rec loads 

  • Must be computer literate 

  • Report via email any equipment/damage to supervisor immediately 

  • Email Crown if equipment is not functioning properly 

  • Answer phone and radio calls 

  • Discuss delivery or pick-up schedules with drivers 

  • Accept and give receipt for pallet money 

  • Turn all paperwork in at end of shift to upstairs accounting personnel 

  • Freezer/cooler inventory assistance 

  • Pallet Jack / Forklift driver 

  • Be safety-minded as well as customer service-minded towards drivers. 

  • Knowledgeable with BOL’s from Americold Requirements and documentation completion 

  • Must be dependable, prompt, and willing to work weekends and overtime as needed 

  • Communicating with management when there are concerns with the following           Production Safety Employee Relations 

  • Performs other related duties as assigned to support production demands as may be specified by customer or client 

 

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 

 

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. 

 

Experience:1 year work related experience. 

 

Other Requirements: No other requirements. 

 

Working Conditions: High noise, cold temperature, slippery floors, moving equipment and dust may be present.  Employees will wear personal protective equipment as necessary or required.
