POSITION: 2nd Shift Packout Machine Operator

HOURS: 4:30 pm to 2:30 am, Monday through Thur, with availability to work weekends and overtime.
REPORTS TO:  Production Supervisor

EMPLOYMENT: Full time

 

JOB DUTIES:

 

  • Set up and operate packing equipment, including loading film, installing cutting and heating tools, verifying setpoints, and other mechanical adjustments such as belt installation, inspection tool verification, temperature checks, etc.
  • Perform setup to machine specifications by following batch sheet and load formulation information for each product code.
  • Accurately complete paperwork and enter it into computer systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:  Exposure to varying temperatures from warm to very cold; noise; humidity; moving vehicles; slippery floors; possible heavy and repeated lifting.  Wear appropriate PPE and other equipment as necessary or required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Must complete required safety training for Lock Out/Tag Out, Powered Industrial Trucks, Hazard Communication, etc. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift and twist up to 10 hours per day. Must be able to perform basic data entry into a computer system on a Windows environment. SAP Experience a plus. Experience and knowledge with HACCP programs a plus.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  
Lifting/pushing/pulling up to 40 lbs. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
