Brakebush Brothers, Inc. is seeking a FSQA Intern in Mocksville, NC! 

OUR INTERNSHIPS 

Expect to engage in meaningful work that makes an impact on our people, processes, and/or product. We aim to provide you with experiences, networking, and professional development that will help advance you in your field. OUR goal is to build relationships and careers of potential team members. We are committed to your success.  

• This is a paid internship at $19.00/hour.  

• Interns must have reliable transportation. We offer housing stipends to those who qualify. 

• Most internships run 12-14 weeks from mid-May through August. We are flexible with most personal summer plans. Hiring managers will discuss intern duration and summer schedules with candidates. 

YOUR FSQA INTERNSHIP involves several key functions:     

• Obtaining a good understanding of our poultry food safety & quality systems 

• Obtaining an understanding of how different customers have particular types of checks and requirements for different product types 

• Obtaining an understanding of how the USDA works and audits processing plants  

• Completing assigned projects essential to the business while also helping give you real life industry experience 

WHO YOU ARE:   

• Currently pursuing a degree in Food Science, Food Safety, or Science related field 

• Attained junior status by May 2023  

• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly in PowerPoint and Excel 

• Highly skilled in communication, critical thinking, analytical skills, and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment (can be cold, wet, and loud)

MOCKSVILLE, NC is home to our newest, state-of-the-art facility. This small town is the heart of North Carolina. Surrounded by vineyards, green spaces, and outdoor recreation, it serves as a great base to explore Charlotte, Winston-Salem, and the Appalachian Mountains. Our NC plant is a value-added, further processing facility where we develop and prepare delicious chicken.
