Brakebush Brothers, Inc. is seeking a Safety Intern in Mocksville, NC! 

OUR INTERNSHIPS 

Expect to engage in meaningful work that makes an impact on our people, processes, and/or product. We aim to provide you with experiences, networking, and professional development that will help advance you in your field. OUR goal is to build relationships and careers of potential team members. We are committed to your success.  

• This is a paid internship at $18.00/hour.  

• Interns must have reliable transportation. We offer housing stipends to those who qualify. 

• Most internships run 12-14 weeks from mid-May through August. We are flexible with most personal summer plans. Hiring managers will discuss intern duration and summer schedules with candidates. 

YOUR SAFETY INTERNSHIP involves several key functions:     

• Performing site safety audits to ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations 

• Assisting with employee training regrading occupational safety and health  

• Evaluating workplace hazards and recommending corrective actions to ensure employee safety.   

WHO YOU ARE:   

• You are currently pursuing an advanced degree in Occupational Safety or related field  

• Attained Junior status by May 2023 

• Understands the basic principals of OSHA regulations and industrial environments.  

• Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and possesses ability to use advanced applications for data collection 

• Skilled in communication, public speaking, autonomy, and relationship building

MOCKSVILLE, NC is home to our newest, state-of-the-art facility. This small town is the heart of North Carolina. Surrounded by vineyards, green spaces, and outdoor recreation, it serves as a great base to explore Charlotte, Winston-Salem, and the Appalachian Mountains. Our NC plant is a value-added, further processing facility where we develop and prepare delicious chicken.
