Title: Early Lineworker/Backup Operator, 1st Shift

Classification: Full-Time, Hourly, Nonexempt

Hours: 6:00 a.m.- 2:30 p.m. (Hours May Vary)
Wage: $19.10/$23.23 (only when doing the backup job)
JOB SUMMARY: Will work in various locations on production line, performing such duties as arranging/straightening chicken parts and/or packing finished product according to specifications.
LINEWORKER JOB DUTIES:

Separate and sort chicken parts on conveyor belt.

Remove unbattered or seconds pieces from line and pack them as specified.

Prepare boxes for packers by staging boxes, bags and labels ahead.
-
Pack individual pieces in portion packs according to specifications.

Assist in changing packing area from bulk to portion pack.
-
Keep work area clean.
-
Job requires frequent repetitive bending, lifting and twisting throughout the work shift.

Assist in sanitizing area, as required.
-
Work in other departments or perform other duties as assigned.
OPERATOR JOB DUTIES:
-
Machine set up and operation which includes: leveling, filling, moving machines, speed and adjustments

Batter test and fried weight temperature checks: FC or Blanched
-
Maintain all cooking systems which include: adjusting speeds and belt heights, scraping tubes, checking fryer temperatures, checking filter system, monitoring control panels, monitoring oil levels in fryer tank, know Gyro and freezer operation

Able to perform marinator operations: reading batch sheets and formulating loads.

Know 8 digit product codes

Operate and fill Wilevco; Operate Toledo system

Operate Formax and marinator and other equipment as required

Know cooler locations and functions, supply line with raw materials

Operate jack in a safe and responsible manner

Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Complete required paperwork and entry into the computer
-
Knowledge and understanding of the HACCP program.

WORKING CONDITIONS: High noise, varied temperatures (warm to cold), slippery floors, moving equipment and dust may be present. Wear appropriate PPE and other equipment as necessary or required.
QUALIFICATIONS: Display positive attitude and teamwork skills. Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day. Ability to frequently bend, lift and twist. Must pass the company physical classification test for essential functions of the position.
