WAGE: $26.77 per hour 

 

JOB DESCRIPTON: 

Millwright Apprentice program is a mechanical based program that also teaches and requires basic electric skills, plus this program will teach you the necessary skills to work with Ammonia refrigeration.  The program is 4 years in length, which combines both paid related instruction (PRI) and on the job instruction in the workplace. Schooling (PRI) is typically one day every other week and is part of the work weekSchooling is completed at NTC (Northeast Technical College) in Wausau. 

 

During the apprenticeship, the apprentice will be rotated every year to work on all shifts until the last year, to allow the apprentices to work the various shifts and gain knowledge from the current workers in the trade. Once in the last year of the program, the apprentice may secure a permanent position/placement through the job bidding process.    

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Must be a high school graduate and be able to provide a copy of diploma and transcriptsAble to tolerate varied temperatures, work independently, able to get along with co-workers.  Must be interested and comfortable learning and working with hazardous chemicals and completing HAZMAT trainingAble to work varied overtime as neededMust pass Maintenance Physical Abilities Evaluation.  

 

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:  Company will provide required tools & equipment necessary for function in this positionEmployee will be required to wear safety shoes and will be provided prescription safety glasses if neededEmployee will wear safety equipment as it relates to the requirement for the task including a respirator and HAZMAT gear. 

 

Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check are required.
