JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Summary:   The Corporate Distribution Coordinator is responsible for accurately coordinating inbound and outbound finished goods products from production facilities to internal and external warehouse and shipping points. Communicates effectively and timely with Brakebush internal departments, outside carriers and external facilities. 

Coordinates inventory transfers in and out of all Brakebush production plants, co-packing facilities, and cold storage warehouses.   

 

Remote: This position will have a hybrid remote work schedule and must report to the office/plant when required.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Coordinates the organization and movement of outbound loads of finished goods for sales orders from production plants to internal and external warehouses and shipping points, and communicates effectively with internal departments, off site production plants and outside cold storage partners.

 

  • Authorizes and releases product for customer sales orders, and systematically processes stock transfers and customer sales orders while effectively communicating with all internal and external departments, customers, and partners. Assists multiple facilities’ shipping and receiving departments with SAP transactions, order processing and load scheduling while ensuring proper inventory flow and stock levels at all shipping locations.

 

  • This position verifies and monitors all inventory movements, performs periodic inventory reconciliations and accounts for all inventory gains or losses.  Produces and distributes weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory reports as assigned and ensures inventory and accurate stock levels are at the appropriate facility in time for sales orders.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum of four years’ experience in a warehousing, distribution, or logistics position
  • Regulatory compliance knowledge, including FMCSA, DOT, USDA, HACCP, SQF (Food Safety)
  • Ability to organize and coordinate work within deadlines; can efficiently handle emerging requirements with accuracy
  • Ability to self-direct and manage responsibilities both in-plant and remotely
  • Ability to strengthen internal relationships through collaboration and mediation
  • Attention to detail: excellent organizational skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong, professional customer service skills and strong communication skills: verbal and written
  • Competent in SAP ERP, MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree or Certification in Warehousing/Distribution/Logistics or Inventory Control
  • 5+ years’ experience in Warehousing and Transportation position
  • Previous cold storage facility coordination experience preferred
  • Advanced SAP user
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (formula creation, graphs, pivot tables, workbooks)

 

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no direct reports.  Position will train and develop backup position(s).

 

Work Environment: The work environment is an office environment with standard temperatures and normal office noise levels.

 

Physical Demands:   This position would be primarily sitting with little to no lifting or other physical demands.

 

Position Type:   This is a salaried non-exempt full-time position. Typical first shift business hours.  Additional hours may be required based on business needs. This position will have a hybrid remote work schedule and must report to the office/plant when required.

 

Travel: Some travel may be required in this position to assist other facilities or outside storage partners.  Less than 5%.
