JOB DUTIES:

Able to bend conduit
-
Pull and terminate wires
-
Capable of fabricating start/stop stations and other related jobs

Capable of dealing with 480-volt, 3 phase. Install and maintain lighting systems

Must know elements of NEC

Able to read schematics & diagrams satisfactorily

Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot mechanical as well as electrical problems

Be willing to work as directed on production equipment
-
Expected to possess good judgment and exercise initiative

Able to work independently and as a team
-
Able to work overtime as needed
-
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS: Electrical Degree or equivalent and 3 years' experience OR 5 years on the job experience in an electrician position from the food, foundry, or paper industry. Must display strong communication skills. Should be a good problem solver and strong team player. Ability to stand, walk and climb stairs, up to 8 hours per day. Ability to tolerate varied temperatures. Must be able to work overtime as needed. Must meet Maintenance Physical Abilities Evaluation requirements. Must successfully complete all required training including lockout tag out. Must have the ability to function in high stress situations.
EQUIPMENT REQUIRED: Company will provide required tools & equipment necessary for function in this position. Employee will be required to wear safety shoes and will be provided prescription safety glasses if needed. Employee will wear safety equipment as it relates to the requirement for the task.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Potential hazards include high noise levels, slippery floors and temperatures which can vary from cold to warm. Wear appropriate PPE and other equipment as necessary or required.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check are required.
