JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Summary: This position is responsible for the planning, coordination, and implementation of reporting and analytics solutions to all areas of the business. This position plays a critical part in making sure that the business is not only positioned correctly for future reporting/analytics needs, but also existing reports are supported and analytical needs maintained to ensure a consistent, reliable, and trusted reporting environment. This role requires experience with SAP S/4 in addition to other current reporting platforms, strong collaboration with the business users, and continuing education to remain a valued subject matter expert in the reporting and analytics environment.

 

Remote Work: 100% remote work from home and/or in office or onsite as needed.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Manages and maintains existing reporting/analytics environment, including error fixes, upgrade compatibility, and changing environment configuration.

  • Leads new reporting and analytics projects from the gathering of requirements through implementation, including reports (often complex and challenging), dashboards, and interactive analytics applications as needed.

  • Collaborates with all areas of the business and other IT teams to ensure that support and new solutions are aligned correctly to the business needs now and in the future.

  • Implements and manages security policies to protect systems from unauthorized access.

  • Ensures all assigned projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.

  • Keeps up-to-date in reporting and analytics knowledge  through various channels including formal education, peer to peer training, trade shows/conferences, informal research and classes, and other forms of learning.

  • Maintains comprehensive documentation of implemented solutions and ensures proper transition to the business owner/stakeholder.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or Management or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of SAP related reporting experience.
  • Experience with SAP S/4 reporting and a deep understanding of the backend table structure in SAP.
  • Design and develop the semantic layer (universe) using IDT.
  • Very strong multidimensional modeling skills using star and snowflake schemas.
  • Experience with SAC or PowerBI as well as SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence.
  • Very strong SQL skills.
  • Experience with BODS for extracting data into the data warehouse to generate reports as needed.
  • Able to organize and coordinate work within schedule constraints and handle emergent requirements in a timely manner.
  • Proficient in both oral and written communication.
  • Familiarity with the latest SAP tools.

 

Supervisory Responsibility: None

 

Work Environment: The work environment is an office environment in a cubicle with standard

temperatures and normal office noise levels.

 

Physical Demands: This position would be primarily sitting with little to no lifting or other physical demands.

 

Position Type: 1st Shift, Exempt, Initially, expect one to two days onsite working up to 100% remote work from home and/or in office onsite as needed.

 

Travel: Little to none except possibly for training.
